Welcome to the Historic Black Swan

20140427_164942The Black Swan, a wine bar retreat for exceptional food, wine & beer,  is now home to 2 spacious and lovely bed & breakfast suites.  With the completion of a top to bottom renovation of the bedrooms upstairs, we can now offer luxurious accommodations with windows that provide sweeping views of the town.  A step back in time, our home, an American Foursquare built in 1904, is located in the heart of Jefferson, Texas on West Austin Street, across from the historic Exclesior Hotel.

Nestled between 2 beautiful lakes, Caddo Lake and Lake of the Pines, Jefferson boasts brick streets, horse-drawn carriages, antebellum homes, and sits on the Big Cypress Bayou.  While here, you can travel along the Piney Woods wine trail, visit the casinos and horse racing in Louisiana, tour Jefferson’s historic homes, shop for antiques, dine on delicious food, take a train or riverboat ride, visit our various museums, experience some ghost hunting or just relax and do nothing, enjoying our expansive front porch and balcony while sipping a glass of wine or iced tea.

Currently, we are completing the interior decoration of the new suites and getting our reservation system in place.  Whether it’s a girlfriend or couples weekend, wedding night, anniversary or other special occasion, we promise to offer something for everyone. From the evening’s wine and cheese reception, bountiful home-cooked breakfasts, the close proximity to shops / restaurants, to the availability of delectable picnic lunches and private dinners, we hope that you will find there is no better choice than to stay at the Black Swan during your time spent in Jefferson, Texas.

We’ll update SOON with our Grand Opening date !
