Welcome to the Historic Black Swan

The Black Swan is home to 2 spacious and lovely bed & breakfast suites. We offer luxurious accommodations, with 22 combined windows, that provide sweeping views of the town. Our home, an American Foursquare built in 1904, is located in the heart of Jefferson, Texas in the Historic Riverfront District on West Austin Street, across from the Excelsior House Hotel.  In addition to our in-town accommodations, we are proud to offer our “Carriage  House on Baker Street”, in the Historic Residential District of Jefferson. Conveniently located within walking distance to all the shops, museums and restaurants in town, the Carriage House is comprised of one large upstairs suite and downstairs is a beautiful over-sized bedchamber.

Nestled between 2 beautiful lakes, Caddo Lake and Lake of the Pines, Jefferson boasts brick streets, horse-drawn carriages, antebellum homes, and sits on the Big Cypress Bayou.  While here, you can shop for antiques, dine on delicious food, take a train, steamboat or riverboat ride, visit our various museums, tour one of Jefferson’s historic homes or experience some ghost hunting.  You can travel along the Piney Woods wine trail, visit the casinos and horse racing in Louisiana or just relax and do nothing, enjoying our expansive front porch, back deck, and balcony while sipping a glass of wine or iced tea.

The Black Swan is a perfect place to spend a long, pampered weekend, offering rooms Thursday thru Sunday evenings.   Whether it’s a girlfriend or couples weekend, wedding night, anniversary or other special occasion, we promise to offer something for everyone. From the evening’s wine and tea reception, bountiful home-cooked breakfasts, the close proximity to shops / restaurants, to the availability of delectable picnic lunches and private dinners offered, we hope that you will find there is no better choice than to stay at the Black Swan during your time spent in Jefferson, Texas.
