Black Swan Open for Boo Benefit

Boo Benefit is an annual motorcycle rally (and famous “Biker Ball”) that aids Camp I’m Still Me (formally Louisiana Burn Camp) in providing opportunities for children who are burn survivors.  Held in Jefferson, Texas every October, the Boo Benefit began in October of 1998 after Boo (Charles “Boo” Chaler) was burned over 95% of his body in a welding accident in May 1998.  They are also holding a drawing for a  2012 Harley Ultra Electra Glide and Deluxe Diamond C Trailer!  Proceeds from the drawing will benefit Percy Johnson Burn Foundation & Shriners Children’s Burn Hospital.  To learn more about the Boo Benefit and the Biker Ball –> click here.

This is a wonderful event attended by exceptional people, and the Black Swan is proud to be a part of it.  Join us on October 13th at 11am for Boo Dogs & Brew (they’re still talking about it from last year!).

Pilgrimage Success! Summer Time @ the Black Swan…

We had a wonderful time at Pilgrimage this year!  Our philosophy is to create great food and a “step back in time” environment where you can relax and enjoy the very best of Jefferson and your time together.  Check out this review from Amber Cullen, Managing Editor of the Jefferson Jimplecute:

“We had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy many, many firsts in Jefferson this past weekend, but one I hold near and dear to my heart, was the lovely evening we spent at the Black Swan, sipping on luscious cocktails, enjoying some delectable appetizers and enjoying the breeze on the front porch.  We had never actually gotten to sit down and eat there, though we sampled their gourmet hot dogs during the Boo Run, and we absolutely loved it.  Nick and I really enjoy going to [Auntie] Skinners, as he loves to sing Karaoke, but if you are looking for a more quiet, relaxed ‘date’ atmosphere, the Black Swan was perfect.”

Thank you, Amber – we’re glad that you enjoyed your visit to the Black Swan, and we hope to see you and Nick again soon!

Our next “food event” will be in October, so during the summer our focus will be on completing the renovation of the two B&B suites upstairs.  And don’t forgetthe Black Swan is available for private parties & events.  If you see us there this summer, don’t hesitate to drop by so we can meet you!

Best Wishes,
Christi & Darrell Gaither
